Chocolate.
I could leave it just as that and I'm sure that chocolate lovers everywhere would agree that would be enough said.
Once upon a time I was not a chocolate eater. Not that I didn't like it, just that I felt eating a chunk of it wasn't my favorite thing in the world.
Flash forward to my adulthood where chocolate that has a flavor to it is my best friend.
Every time that I travel I try to find a different type of chocolate to try. My husband loves chocolate and will try anything that he can too.
Wen we were in Belgium the one thing that we were both excited to try, other than beer, was the chocolate.
It did not disappoint at all!
Walking the streets of Brussels you could smell the chocolate being made.
The mixture of that and the stale beer, honestly made the day better.
The little shop La Belgique Gourmande caught my attention right away.
The smell, the looks, the chocolates, everything about it was perfect.
This was not the only shop that caught my attention with the smells of chocolate, but the only one in Belgium.
Inside the store there was an abundent amount of different types of sweets. Not all chocolate, but mostly.
The best chocolates were the orange peel dipped in milk or dark chocolate.
I have had these chocolates in the states and every time the orange is too much, but here was the perfect amount of orange to chocolate.
On top of those types there were also chocolates that had liquor on the inside.
We brought back a lot of chocolate and wish that we could get more now.
My favorite part of the shop was that the chocolate were in different shapes of tools.
I could not resist taking pictures of how pretty the chocolates were!
