I'm dreaming of food

Let me say that I love food.
Local food is the best of any country.
Trying a food that you see all of the time is a dream come true.
However, when something sounds so good that you have to have it, well then have it.

One night as my husband and I were trying to figure out where to eat at in Paris again this place kept coming up.  Not many times do I say sure lets go without looking it over 50 times and then saying alright, but that night was a little bit different.

I was not prepared for the goodness that was to follow.
This little restaurant was very close to our hotel so that was a plus.  The night that we went was very busy, so we decided to sit outside like we did everywhere.

The menu was extensive, but we both finally decided on what to eat.
The bowl, which my husband had...wow!
It consisted of chicken, a cut up spring roll, veggies, rice vermicelli noodles, fresh bean sprouts, and so much more.

I ended up having a beef dish.  This had beef, rice, cucumber, and then a cabbage and carrot slaw.
The beef was tender cooked to perfection.
The cabbage and carrot slaw was the best I have ever had in my life.
It was tangy, sweet, and had a kick to it.
Dipping the veggies into the Nuoc Cham Dressing added the heat.

I could honestly eat here over and over again.
Since being back in the states this is all I want to eat.
I would take an airplane ride just to get this meal again and again.

If you are ever in the area of this place, it is quick, wonderful, and delicious so please go!
There are many around, but this place is where you need to go.

23 Rue de la Gaite is the address!

  1. Mmmmm I love food too! I really like the pictures of food too! Too bad "authentic" restaurants in America aren't usually truly authentic!!
