We all love to travel.
To go somewhere new and exciting!
BUT
Who wants to do all of the work?
I love to travel, love going to new places, and I love to PLAN, PLAN, PLAN!!!
The reason for the plan to be capital and all of the exclamations is for one simple reason; planning is my life. When I find out that I get to go on a trip someone that I have never been before, I look at everything that I possibly can and plan until the day that I am sitting in my seat on the plane.
Most would say that I am an over planner, but I'll let you all decide what you think after writing this.
Now, before I get into all of this blogging that I am going to be doing, I want to tell you all about me. I am no one really to special, but still to my family I am a big deal.
Coming from a small town in Southern Ohio right on the river most call it by the wrong name or only know it by our "famous" attractions. The city of Gallipolis, but I lived in Rio Grande during my early 20's. Our famous attraction is none other than Bob Evans. Yes, the restaurant. On a side note I also went to college right beside that farm! If you find one, check it out, I have linked their location below the picture.

Back on topic, I have always loved to travel even when I was little, looking at a map I knew where we were going on family trips before the end of the driveway. My dad would take road trips. For those that don't know what that is, you get in a car with a MAP (no GPS then) and drive to your destination while stopping at random places along that way. By the time that I was a teen I had seen most of the states out west. I was born in Colorado Springs, so going back was nice to see how things change over the years.
Over the years, most of my trips were spent in a car with family going to a beach here and there, but nothing out of the normal five state range. I remember when we would go to the beach it was either Myrtle Beach, SC or Oak Island, NC. They are about an hour an a half from each other, but couldn't be more different. That is when my travel obsession started.
I 2005 right after my 18th Birthday I went on a trip to Japan. My first flight. Now from Ohio to Tokyo the flight is around 14 hours. I say that is one way to get started flying! I was there for around three weeks and then came home. The experience that it gave me was amazing, for me, not so much for my parents. Once I got back from there I was itching to go on another trip.
My life didn't allow me to take a trip again until right after I was engaged. My family took a red eye to New York. I had never been and neither had my mother or my new fiance. That trip started off rough and ended even rougher, but the middle part was a great story....but for another time.
At 21 I was married and we were on our way on our Honeymoon. A Royal Caribbean Cruise. If you honestly want to see a lot of different places, still get to go and do things, but have time to just relax. This is the way to go. While they are pricey, they are worth it. My husband and I took the trip when were very early 20's making no money at all. I'm sure if you save your money, set a goal, and round up that change...it will happen!!!
We visited Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Mexico, and Florida. Those places will always hold a special place in my heart for it was the first time that I had been anywhere with my husband just us.
I'll write about these places later :)
Flash forward two years. My husband decided to joined the Army. That is right..the Army. To me that screamed travel and new places and that is what I got....sometimes.
Within that last four years we have taken countless road trips and many flights to get where are going, with me planning every last one of them. Some of those have been solo travel to get to where he is and other times it was together. From Texas all the way up to Niagara Falls (Canada Side) and down to the Dominican Republic. We have hit everything in between state wise too. While most of our trips are short lived, a week here and there, the trip that I have planned coming up is the biggest that I have done.
All in all, I hope that those that are reading from here on out...since the about me is over....will enjoy reading the how, when, where, food, and tips going forward.
When I am not going somewhere I will be putting up all of my homemade cooking adventures!
SO...
Sit down, grab some tea, take in all of information and enjoy the daily ride.
