The Alexander

I love staying in hotels.
One of the best parts of travel is not only exploring the town,
but staying in a nice hotel.

If you are ever in Indianapolis for any reason The Alexander is a beautiful place to stay.

The hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants and to Lucas Oil Stadium.
When you arrive you can either pay up to $35 for valet parking or you can park the car yourself around the corner it's around $20 and take the sky walk over to the hotel itself.

The hotel is extravagant in the way that you could get lost if you aren't paying attention to the signs.
The lobby has a lot of whimsical butterflies hanging on the walls, on the ceiling, and over the stairs.

They put us in a room with a view of the stadium on the far side of the hotel, which was perfect.
Even being by the elevator you couldn't hear what was going on.

The picture of the left was from first thing in the morning and the picture on the right was from the night of the Big Ten Champion game.

The room was rather large.
It had a full kitchen, fridge with a freezer, and table.

When you get into the room there was a king size bed, nice size TV, a desk that you could work at.

The tables beside the bed had their own personal lights that pop out of the wall.

The blinds were on a drawstring that was easy to use once you find which one goes with which blind.

Inside the closet were two robes that were looked as if they were from Star Wars, extra pillows, ironing board and iron, and hangers.

The one thing that I find that I must have in a hotel room other than a comfortable bed, is a nice bathroom.
After a long day out walking around and exploring is to come back to the room for a nice shower.
At the Alexander the bathroom did not disappoint.

The bathroom itself was large and roomy.  The shower had enough room to move around in, but the water would hardly come out of the shower head.  The double sink had enough room so that two people could get ready in the morning and the light from outside shinned right into the bathroom.

There were two things that stood out the most of the whole room were the Welcome note by the TV and the door hanger.

I think that every hotel should have a welcome note in the room just so the customer knows that they do care.  It is a small tough that goes a long way.

The door hangers made my husband and I laugh.  Normally, its a "Do Not Disturb" or a "Please Clean."
This hotel took it to a whole new level.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend anyone to stay here.  The hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and the stadium.

Thank you to The Alexander for a wonderful time and being friendly.
