The Wicked Lobstah Food Truck

It has been a while since I have written an actual blog post and boy have I missed it.

About a month ago I noticed there was a food truck going around called
The Wicked Lobstah.

I decided to give it a shot, it might not be sitting on the coast in Maine, but I was willing to try.

They have an online ordering system I ordered the day before, and I ordered it for 4 o’clock the next day. When you order you get an email code and a text letting you know the process of where you stand.
It was really pretty easy to order and I thought the prices were decently priced, about $16.50 for a plain lobster roll with the chips and a pickle.

The day that you get your order you simply walk up to the truck, it will say online orders pick up here, you give them your name and they give you your order. They were all wearing masks, very friendly, and in front of a local brewery.

If you didn’t want to order online they had a walk up window where you can place your order, step back, and they will tell you when you’re ready just like a normal food truck.

I placed an order for two what they called Plain Ass Roll which  has nothing on it except for your lobster and they had a few options of what you could add to it.

As you can see they both came with tons of lobster in the roll, It was buttery and not too dry, the roll was crispy but still had a nice texture to the inside. The only thing that I wish would’ve been an option was to add just a little bit of butter on the side since I felt like it should have had the lobster completely coated in good butter. The chips that came with both of them had plenty of pepper, spice, and were addictive. The pickle was nothing to write home about and felt it was just placed on the side for looks and didn’t add much to the overall meal.

The next thing I ordered were the Lobster Tacos. It came with two tacos with salsa verde,  queso fresco, sour cream, lobster, sautéed onions and peppers. I don’t like sour cream so I got it without and I did feel that all the flavors were fantastic, but the peppers were overpowering for the rest of the taco.  I would highly recommend getting the tacos since they were absolutely the best thing they had there other than the chips

As you can see there’s plenty of food and you would not go hungry. The shell itself had a nice bite about it without being tough and it held up for the amount of toppings that were placed on it. The verde had a nice spice to it, but didn’t make you sweat. The lobster, just like the roll, was very tender still had a nice bite to it. The peppers were very tender and delicious on their own, but really over powered the rest of the flavors of the taco.

Overall I would definitely eat here again.  The proportions are fantastic and didn’t make you feel like you were completely stuffed or uncomfortable. The wait time was nonexistent, I ordered for 4 o’clock and I showed up a couple minutes before and walked up to the window got it and was back to my car just minutes later.

If you are in Ohio look up where they’re going to be using using this link here:
